Refund Policy

When a course purchase can be refunded.

About this policy

Rails is operated by Hitch Intelligence, Inc. This policy explains how refunds work for courses bought on getonrails.com. It applies alongside our Terms of Service. Contact us at seth@usehitch.ai.

What you are buying

A course purchase is a one-time payment for a digital course. It is not a subscription, and it does not renew. Your purchase gives you access to the revision of the course you bought. We may publish later revisions, and we do not promise that a future revision will be included.

When you can request a refund

You can request a refund within 14 days of your purchase if you have not completed more than the first chapter of the course. Because a course is delivered immediately, a request made after 14 days, or after you have worked past the first chapter, is outside this policy. We may still make an exception where something went wrong on our side.

If a payment did not complete, nothing was charged and there is nothing to refund. If you were charged more than once for the same course, contact us and we will return the duplicate charge.

How to request a refund

Reply to your purchase confirmation email, or write to seth@usehitch.ai from the address you bought with. Include your order reference so we can find the purchase. The order reference is shown on the purchase status page and with your receipt.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. We cannot send a refund to a different card, account, or person. Once we issue the refund, how long it takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer.

Access after a refund

When a refund is issued, access to the refunded course is suspended and it stops being available in My courses. Content and progress already saved on your own computer are not deleted by the refund. If you want to keep a copy of your work, export it before you request a refund.

Disputes and chargebacks

If something is wrong with a purchase, contact us first. We would rather sort it out directly than through your bank. If you open a dispute or chargeback with your card issuer, access to the course may be suspended while the dispute is open, and the outcome is decided by the issuer and Stripe rather than by us.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our refund practices change and show the effective date on the published policy. The policy in effect on the day you bought is the one that applies to that purchase.
